FINALLY! Season 8 Episode 1 of Game of Thrones aired last night, simultaneously around the world I add. After teasers, brain twisters and thousands of other forecasts which insulated the HBO TV show with much hype, the first episode merely served as an introduction to the gore that is to come. The first episode unites characters who have not seen each other for ages. This will definitely make it more heart-breaking for characters to say goodbye when bodies start to fall.
Talking about bodies falling, did you see the stare that Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) gave Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) at the end. I could almost hear him saying sisterf%*ker.
While on the hot topic of shagging your family and stares, did you see the look the dragon gave Jon (Kit Harrington) when he was about to tenderly make love to his aunt? Also when Sam (John Bradley) tells Jon he is not your average bear but is actually Aegon Targaryen, Jon is processing all this information thinking OMG my whole life is a lie. His face looks forlorn, shocked and overwhelmed but I don’t think it looks as though he realizes yet that he is making hot sweet nephew love to Daenerys.
I think Daenerys already knows Jon may be a Targaryen as the connection between dragons and their Targaryen masters is well known. Daenerys may be withholding that tidbit of information from Jon as she wants to be the one holding the reins however Sam asked Jon a pertinent question, “will she bend the knee?” Perhaps she already has… in private.
