My Four Insane but Possible Predictions for Avengers Endgame

Avengers: Infinity War, the penultimate conclusion of 10 years of releases since Iron Man 2008, succeeded in creating the necessary hype. Predictably this hype will propel audiences to turn out in their millions to watch Avengers Endgame. This should be number one in my Endgame predictions today, but I will give you that as a bonus.

Endgame Box Office Sales

Infinity War closed with destruction and the sinking feeling of futility despite the skilled coalescing of superheroes and the lionhearted efforts of Thor (Chris Hemsworth). I didn’t exactly get to watch the Infinity war in the cinema like the people who contributed to the $664, 987,816 that Rotten Tomatoes reported was captured for Infinity War at box offices. I like to watch movies for free online, especially when I know it will be good quality.

Nevertheless, Endgame is the conclusion of the grave course of events set in motion by Thanos and is earmarked to be released on April 26th, 2019. It is expected by some to surpass the amount made by Infinity War and once again I will watch Avengers endgame online for free, but let’s get back to the expected billion dollar movie.

Other than Endgame 2019 box office predictions, I forecast several alternate scenarios about the Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers Endgame Prediction #1

Avengers Endgame Will Spend Too Much Time on Sad Weepy Scenes

If you didn’t already anticipate mourning from watching the end of Infinity War, then the official Avengers Endgame trailer beckons you to pay attention to the melancholic, crestfallen superheroes.

All the scenes in the official trailer are laced with a sad undertone and the majority are in grey scale. It begins with a soliloquy by Tony Stark better known as Iron Man, (Robert Downy Junior) speaking in a sad, defeated, reflective voice. As he speaks, the trailer moves through various scenes. We see Stark in a destroyed Iron Man costume lying in the dirt, the trailer then cuts to an Iron Man helmet which he seems to be using to record/transmit his message to Virginia ‘Pepper’ Potts (Gweneth Paltrow). This scene leads to a shot of a very distraught Virginia holding one of Tony’s helmets to her head in anguish. The trailer then switches to Stark, he is drifting in space, presumably alone in a damaged ship. These scenes are followed by many more sad looking shots including one of a funeral. All in all, Endgame promises to have a wealth of weepy scenes.

Avengers Endgame Prediction #2

The Ants March In and Save the Day

At the end of the above trailer, we see a scene with Scott Lang better known as Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Ant-Man enters the trailer right after a bunch of sad and serious scenes and brings life back to the trailer. So I predict that Ant-Man along with his bug army will march and beat Thanos, saving the day. Yey! Check out this video published by Mightyracoon that depicts what may happen if Ant-Man and Thanos have a one on one.

Avengers Endgame Prediction #3

Thanos Turns Wimpy and Turns Time Back

Thanos may just reconsider all the death and destruction he created and make the decision to undo everything he did freeing the universe from his reign of terror (or not). Thanos is bent on bringing the world to balance, he killed half of humanity to do this in Avengers Infinity War. However, did this really bring balance? Did sacrificing his daughter Gamora and snapping his fingers to murder half of humanity bring balance to the inhabitants of the multi-verse? At the end of Avengers Infinity War, Thanos seemed less than satisfied with actually accomplishing his long sought after goal, he also appeared quite vulnerable as he retired to some planet where he seemed to haunted by Gamora’s spirit.

Avengers Endgame Prediction #4

And now for the final prediction (drum roll please).

Everyone Dies and A New Era of Marvel Begins

There are so many superheroes and villains in the MCU I sometimes wonder why Marvel continues to recycle the current list. Aside from the fact that Chris Evans (Captain America) says Endgame will be his last MCU movie playing the hero, MCU needs to step up the power level of villains. With the advent of the powerful Thanos MCU should not go back to weaker villains now. (Major eye roll), that would be so anticlimactic. So more powerful villains it is! With more powerful villains there will be a need for much more powerful heroes and it is obvious that the current set does not have what it takes as they were pulverized by Thanos.

We have yet to see characters like Galactus, The Living Tribunal, Hyperion, The Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock, and the Beyonder, just to name a few.

Marvel may use Avengers Endgame to take the on-screen MCU to another level.

I would love to see some different characters and I am sure others will agree, so maybe my predictions may come through or maybe they won’t, but it was certainly fun to come up with them. What about you? What do you predict for Avengers Endgame? Let me know in the comments below.
