Trailers nowadays make watching the actual movie painful. All the best scenes are brashly portrayed and eagerly offered up to hungry audiences without even thinking of holding anything back for fans to enjoy at the theatre. This is all in an attempt to inspire you to spend your hard earned dollars to watch what usually ends up being a disappointing movie that has no good scenes other than what the producers have continuously promoted in the trailers.
When I watch one of these puffed up pieces, I usually end up feeling like slapping the producers and thinking that next time I will exact my revenge on them and watch 2019 movies free online. Unfortunately, I never stick to my guns and I end back up in the cinema, popcorn in my hand hoping for something awesome.
I‘M SUCH A SUCKER FOR PUNISHMENT!
So far for 2019, all the trailers look amazing, and I have to admit, there is a serious art in the making of a trailer. It’s not to say that these movies are bad movies, but they just fall short of the thematic hype created around the trailer.
Captain Marvel was a basic superhero movie while the trailer made it seem as though it would be enthralling and rewarding. For me, the most rewarding part of the movie was understanding the origins of Nick Fury’s eye injury, other than that, the film contained nothing exceptional.
This is why Michael Sragow from the Film Comment Magazine said Captain Marvel was, “Lacking a unifying vision and a charismatic star performance, this film is less a big-screen comic than a patchwork quilt.”
However, some critics think the movie was amazing.
David Hogan from Hogan’s Reviews commented that it was “A good film, some fun call-backs (especially young Nick Fury) and creates a character I’m looking forward to seeing the next Avengers film, and that’s all it needed to do!”

Now to address the elephant in the room. Dumbo was released last week Friday, March 29th, 2019 and already critics who watched the preview screenings are saying the movie was sub-par. The 2019 film has a 45% lower rating on Rotten Tomatoes than it’s 1941 release.
Joe Morgenstern from the Wall Street Journal commented that “It’s astounding that Tim Burton and his colleagues could have created such a downer from a long-beloved source of delight.”
However, Peter Howell from the Toronto Star believes that “The film’s a joy to behold, if not to ponder. Burton and his crew find magic in their paintbox that’s missing in the story.”
Whether or not you believe that Dumbo failed to fly you should watch Dumbo 2019 now to judge for yourself and then take a look at the trailer and compare the two and decide for yourself if Tim Burton fluffed up an average film.
There many more films to come out for 2019, so watch new upcoming official movie trailers and stay tuned for more as the movies below are released!
